Dr. Jay Passavant started North Way Christian Community Church in Wexford, Pennsylvania, with his wife Carol and eight other couples in the spring of 1981. Over the succeeding three decades, he preached with a focus on grace and discipleship, as well as the mystery, beauty and centrality of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
